How can YOU best support your student throughout the campaign?
This is a leadership development program designed for your student to learn, grow, and achieve new heights that they did not know were possible! But, our parents play a key role in the success of their student's campaign! We ask for you unwavering support of your student through their time with us. Below, you can find a few ways that you can best support your student and help them achieve their goals!

1
Share Your Network
Work with your student to identify individuals in your network with the ability to give $500+. Help your student research, prepare, and practice for personal ask and sponsorship presentations, and open up your address book to share contacts that they could reach out to. Sharing your holiday card list, party invitees, or even your coworkers' emails is an essential start to helping your student lay the foundation of their campaign! What doors can you open for your student?
2
Letters and Emails
One BIG milestone of Hall of Fame is filling out your letter and contact tracker! This is where your student will collect over 300+ addresses and 100+ email addresses to send out personalized letters and emails to throughout their campaign. Help your student send follow-ups to anyone they have not heard from, and encourage them to write Thank You notes to all donors and sponsors.
3
Team Development
Work with your student to develop a roster of potential team members, both youths and adults, that could have a significant impact on fundraising. Reach out to your team members' parents to provide encouragement and answer any questions throughout the campaign.
4
Throughout the Campaign
Make sure that you are able to attend all 1:1 Goal Planning Meetings with your staff partner. It is essential that you stay informed and aware about how your student is doing and their progress throughout the campaign. Thoroughly read through all communications from Blood Cancer United Staff - your Monday and Friday emails will always contain important information.
Why is it Important for Me to Engage Team Members' Parents?
Engaging with team members' parents is key to your team’s success. It allows you to educate them on what’s expected of both them and their student, answer any questions they may have, and provide encouragement along the way. Other parents can also be great thought partners—by including them, you can brainstorm ideas and create a stronger support system for your team.
